Google is finally stepping up the competition to Apple’s Notification Center with their own new version of the Notifications Area – you can view live notifications, as well as make phone calls, read emails, view and share photos and respond to invites sent to you on the Calendar app – all without ever having to leave the Notifications area! Another new feature to Notifications is the ability to collapse and expand notification panels with a two-finger swipe.
